Columbia 31

Winsome is a well cared for "must see" Columbia 31 sloop designed by Charlie Morgan.  She has the tall rig option like its prototype 1963 sail racing champion "Tiger Cub".  As a centerboarder she's well adapted for the Chesapeake, drawing 3.5 ft board up and 7 ft board down.  A frequent wednesday night PHRF racer, the Winsome placed 2nd in the 2022 MD Governer's Cup, 2018 Havre de Grace invitational, and 2016 Sippy Cup.  She underwent a major refit in the 1990s and was re-powered with a Yanmar 2GM-20F diesel.  Careful maintenance and upgrades over the past 13 years of my ownership.  Awlgrip repaint: deck and nonskid (2015), mast, boom, and spinnaker pole (2021).  Bottom Interlux 2000 barrier coat (2018).  Cast iron centerboard epoxy sealed and faired (2018). New mahogany aft lazarette hatch cover with Awl wood varnish (2024).  Toe rail, hatches, cockpit combing, hand rails, and cockpit sole finished with Cetol natural teak gloss.  New Airmar depth & speed transducer, B&G wind direction and speed with two B&G Triton monitors (2023), NMEA 2000 network backbone for instruments.  Dometic 12v refrigeration (2024).  Additional negotiable items not included in boat price: 8.5 ft Achilles hypalon dinghy with 2.5 hp Mercury outboard, boat slip Bohemia Bay Yacht Harbor on the Bohemia River, near Chesapeake City, MD.
