This is the hands down best liveboard, great loop boat, available for the money.  As cheap to operate as a trawler, but she'll get and go to get you to the next marina on those long stretches in the intercoastal and inland river systems.  Featuring two salons, useable year round with heat and AC, space isn't wasted at all.  Easy handling, the beginner can master maneuvers in no time.   This is the Atlantic 47 MY.  Her name is SurfSong.  She's mistaken her for a Hatteras all the time because she was designed by Jack Hargrave, the man who designed all the hatteras boats up to this point in time.  She's a classic, exquisitely maintained, and everything works as it should. She has undergone a bottom job ($13k alone).  She was bead blasted to the gelcoat less than a year ago.  She has two layers of barrier coat and three layers of bottom paint. Running gear was painted.   Too many other upgrades to mention, like nearly $100k in total.   Surf Song is ready to go.  She is currently in a slip in Athens Alabama at $400/mth and the rent runs through December.  I've got to let her go because of my wife's health.  We were ready to go on the great loop.   She sips fuel getting nearly 2 miles per gallon, depending on wind and currents, at 1100 rpm making generally 8 knots.  At WOT, she'll get 22knots.  Her range is nearly 1000 miles.  Come have a look.  Do your survey.  What you need to know is this boat has been in fresh water for 37 of 39 years.  That should weigh heavily on your decision on aquiring a yacht.  Fresh water boats rule.   Lastly,  this is going to be a true cash transaction.
