A lovely example of the Beneteau First 31.7 cruiser / racer which has been based on Windermere with one owner from new. Comfortable accommodation for 6 with 2 double cabins and 2 saloon single berths. Supplied new with upgraded North Sails and the later addition of a Spinnaker. Sprayhood and Lazy Jack Bag replaced in 2016. Stored ashore each winter there is a 6 wheeled yard trolley available by separate negotiation. This is a well cared for example which has enjoyed an "easy life" on the lake.
GRP hull in grey with white deck and superstructure. Balsa sandwich deck with diamond point non-slip finish. White internal mouldings, Pear wood finish and white upholstery make the saloon feel light and airy.
Deep fin keel with draft of 1.90m. Spade rudder with stainless steel tiller steering. Teak cockpit seating.
Powered by a Yanmar 3YM20 21hp inboard diesel with saildrive unit and twin bladed propeller. A bank of 3 x 12V batteries provide domestic power and engine start (2 x new 2018, 1 x new 2017). Shore power and battery charger fitted.

Sails and Rigging
Fractional Bermudan rig with keel stepped alloy mast and spars. Stainless steel wire standing rigging with Dyneema running rigging led aft to cockpit. Backstay adjustment led to mainsheet traveller for easy accessibility.
Slab reefing mainsail with Lazy Jack bag, roller furling Genoa with luff sock and rigged for conventional Spinnnaker with pole.

Accommodation and layout
Six berths in a 2 cabin plus saloon berth layout. On entering the saloon, to port is the L shaped galley with stainless steel sink, pressurised hot and cold water, gas oven with twin burner hob, top loading fridge and a variety of storage. Behind the galley is the entrance to the double aft cabin which has a hanging locker and access to the sail drive.
To starboard is the navigation station with aft facing chart table, chart plotter and electrical panel. Aft is the heads compartment which has a sea toilet with holding tank, shower, wash hand basin storage and wet locker.
The saloon has 2 settee berths either side of a central dining table which has 2 folding leaves and seats 6. White interior mouldings, Pear wood finish and white upholstery give a warm light feeling to the interior. Forward of the saloon is the fore-cabin with a V berth double and storage.
