2002 Fountaine Pajot Marquise 56 | Dragonfly
Dragonfly is a well maintained 2002 Fountaine Pajot Marquises 56 that has been enjoyed by her sole owner since new. The four-cabin sailing cat has been kept in original condition and serviced as required with logbook records available.
The catamaran features an uprated Caterpillar genset, lithium battery bank and a decent-sized 150ltr/hr+ water maker. She runs two 75hp Yanmar diesels with shaft drives, which have less than 3860 hours per engine. With a central saloon air conditioner, a Caterpillar genset and huge freezer space, there is little left to ask for when cruising in the tropics.
Equipped for blue-water cruising, Elvstrom sails and a 160 sqm gennaker, Dragonfly also moves with a fair turn of speed.
These big Fountaine Pajots rarely come on the market, and they represent excellent value, especially considering the wait time on current new models.
The owner is transitioning to a powercat, so this is an excellent opportunity for a big cat buyer to secure a quality and proven model at a decent price.
Dragonfly was the last Marquises 56 built and she is a 100% foam-composite build with four generous ensuite cabins and an additional double crew cabin, affording privacy for all onboard.
