Martha's Wake

Did you know?

On the 130th anniversary of Joseph Rothrock’s summer cruise of the Chesapeake Bay aboard the "Martha", two Island Packet Packet Cats set out to follow that famous voyage of the as they sail down the Chesapeake, up the James River, and back.

CAMI-CAT was one of the Packet Cat vessels and her owner was the photographer for the book, IN MARTHA'S WAKE-VACATION CRUISING THE CHESAPEAKE BAY.  It is a voyage undertaken in order to “preach” a gospel of relaxation and to remember the place America was born and came of age.

In Martha's Wake : Vacation Cruising The Chesapeake Bay

Robert E. Clarke, Author.
