Liveaboard-Ready Vessel – Proven & Cruising Now

My wife and I purchased this vessel in February 2020 and have lived aboard full-time since then, without owning any other residence. It has truly been our home. When we first moved aboard, our daughter was three years old; we now have a 7-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a newborn on the way. As our family grows, our needs are changing, which is the only reason for selling.

This boat has been actively cruised and well proven. We recently completed a 35-day cruise from Destin, Florida, leaving the boat in Fort Myers before returning home for Christmas. I would not hesitate to step back on tomorrow and take her straight to the Bahamas.

The vessel does need a paint job, and we want to be fully transparent. The original 100-gallon fuel tank developed a leak and has since been emptied and cleaned; it remains in place. The boat is currently running on a reliable 22-gallon auxiliary fuel tank.

The Manta 40 is a performance cruising catamaran designed to offer luxurious accommodations for two to three cruising couples, with good offshore and singlehanded sailing capability. Standard equipment includes: twin 29 hp diesels with S-drives and folding propellers, 100-gallon fuel and water tanks, all sail controls leading to helm and electric winch, Camber Spar(tm) self-tacking jib, full-batten mainsail with two single line reefs, and more. The accommodation plan has been developed directly from customer feedback, offering galley-up, one hull dedicated to owner's stateroom and head, large separate shower stalls, large heavily insulated refrigeration-freezer compartments and queen-size berthing. To insure quality all the way throughout the outfitting and commissioning level, Manta has developed and offers the most comprehensive optional equipment package available in the industry. With the "Pac systems," owners are saved the often time-consuming and frustrating process of properly equipping and outfitting a new cruising sailboat. These equipment packages are installed by the factory and are developed to best synergise with the standard equipment. Construction is state-of-the-art, utilizing vinylester and isophthalic resins, multiaxial, and unidirectional E glass, polypropylene honeycomb core, and vacuum-bagging. The hull and deck are each constructed in one piece, and bonded together.
