    The Cobalt 206 is equipped with a sturdy, concealed ladder, and the activity platform makes everything easier and more enjoyable for skiers, boarders, and swimmers. The platform is the logical center of on-the-water activity, and a walk-through transom makes this enlarged area accessible and convenient. The Cobalt 206 has all the convenience of walk-through access to the activity platform combined with the extra seating that the Varadense lounge makes available. Forward there are two plush captain chairs. Varadense is Cobalt's seating system incorporating multiple densities of foam (from #35 to #125), with the heaviest foam used at the base to prevent uncomfortable bottoming out on rough water. Softer foams at the surface deliver comfort and contour. Built on rot-proof composite structural supports and covered in vinyl exclusive to Cobalt, all seat-support mechanisms are mounted to aluminum plate reinforcement embedded in the fiberglass. Traditional Cobalt features populate the 206. A digital sound system (AM-FM cassette with driver's remote) with four waterproof speakers spreads good sounds bow to stern. Snap-in bow and cockpit carpet removes for easy cleaning. The storage areas are carpeted or rubber mat lined, the ice chest is built-in, the steering wheel is leather, and the convertible top is color-coordinated. The Cobalt 206 is easily towed to the destination of choice. Drop in one of the larger power trains, and the 206 will take on big water with confidence. All the characteristics of the classic Cobalt ride are here. The hull is 100-percent hand-laid, the standard of lamination performance, the key to structural strength and durability. Cobalt's process is called Hydrolam, alternating heavy mat and heavier roving in seven layers of fully-cured strength, a process that stretches over four full days of hull construction. Cobalt's extended running surface is here, but with a twist - a reversed chine deflecting water downward. The effect: the 206 runs drier, handles better in turns. Cobalt 206 owners can customize their boats with options that stretch from tonneaus and side curtains to a premium sound system with stereo subwoofer, from temperature gauges and a compass, to docking lights and rosewood dash panels, from a transom shower to an electric telescoping stern light. An optional cushion drops into the walk-through transom to deliver still more stern seating. The Cobalt warranty protects the 206's long-term value. It's a guarantee on the hull and deck for 10 years and the power train for five years, in addition to the two-year guarantees on the gelcoat and the interior.
