If interested, please call Richard at 619-991-9440. Yamaha V Max 3.1L. Fuel & Oil injected. Boat/motor have been serviced by SEAWITCH Marine. Both are in very good condition. Two tanks/52gal. Lowrance X 102 Color Fish Findet. Lowrance LMS 522 GPS w/card Color Fish Finder. Folding Bimini top. Built-in 3 battery charger. Three NEW batteries($1,200). NEW boat cover ($1,350). 2 Stainless Steel Props, Trailer has surge brakes, stow-away tongue. Tires in top condition. Two bilge pumps. Tackle galore...including fishing poles, tackle packs, boxes, lures, etc. Just two owners. The boat is actually "younger" than 1998 as far as usage and engine hours are concerned since the first owner had a heart condition and hardly used it for 2-3 years before I bought it. He lived at Lake Havasu and kept the boat 24/7/365 inside an enclosed garage. I took it to SHIMMER BOAT SERVICE in Lake Havasu for a full check up and service. That was in 2018. My wife and I bought the Skeeter because we wanted a couple more trips to Lake Powell since we bought a 1/2 ownership in a houseboat with alternating years of usage. We used the Skeeter sparingly in 2019 and 2021 during our alternating time share period. So it has not been used like other guys who are on the water many days during the year...yet we made sure the boat was well kept. I'm turning 83 in two weeks and it is time to cash it in. This will be a pretty good deal for someone.

  6. Rosborough RF-28

    Rosborough RF-28

    Quincy, Massachusetts, États-Unis
    1984

Cruise anywhere safely and fuel efficiently in this 30 LOA’ trawler built in Nova Scotia by Rosborough boats. These hulls were originally built for commercial fishing fleets in Nova Scotia and are known for their heavy overbuilt strength and sea-keeping abilities. In the mid-’80s, as the fishing industry went through hard times, Rosborough began to build out these boats as trawler yachts instead. The full-size cabin with a flybridge is designed to maximize cruising capabilities. It has a large open cabin and galley with a settee that converts to a double bunk. Forward, the raised bridge provides great visibility and easy deck access through two sliding doors. All the way forward below decks there is a cedar hanging locker, enclosed head, and V birth with an additional bunk added for a child or extra gear. Aft, a small cockpit provides access to a sundeck and flybridge with an additional helm station above. The boat is powered by a reliable and well-maintained 4.236 Perkins Diesel with about 3100 hours. The 4.236 is a naturally aspirated diesel engine with a maintenance cycle of 10 thousand hours before they are due for an overhaul. While the engine is original to the boat, a rebuilt Borg Warner transmission was installed by Foley engines in 2009 along with new atomizers (injectors) and a transmission oil cooler. Many systems of this engine have been overhauled in more recent years including the addition of a stainless steel exhaust manifold, stainless exhaust elbow, oil and transmission cooler, alternator, and starter motor. The motor is dead-simple and easy to work on with easy access and it runs strong and evenly with great oil pressure, no smoking or consumption of oil. The engine turns a 1.5-inch stainless steel shaft with a large bronze 3-blade prop on which are mounted spurs line cutters. Heavy-duty running gear protects the prop and mounts a large bronze rudder. With a cruising speed of about 7 knots, this boat is a true trawler - designed for comfort, safety, and fuel efficiency - not speed. At our typical cruising speed it sips fuel at about 1.5 gallons per hour and with its 40-gallon tank it has great range. All tanks are believed to be either Stainless Steel or Monell. The fuel tank sump is cleaned annually as part of regular maintenance and includes redundancy in dual primary fuel filters - one a new Racor fuel water separator with fuel pressure alarm. A modified spin-on secondary fuel filter was added in 2017. In the past 12 years, this boat has never suffered a fuel-related issue. It carries 45 gallons of fresh water with a new water pressure pump and washdown pump feeding a deck shower. A 30-gallon waste tank with a new Jabsco macerator pump discharges to a pump-out or overboard. A custom-built propane locker with remote switch and two newer propane hoses feed a galley stove/range and a newer Propex HS2800 cabin heater. New propane sniffer. A new Cetrex autohelm and hydraulic pump were installed in 2014. This is an older system (circa 2000?) that was installed new from its original boxes. Includes an older JVC radar & fish finder and is wired up for a portable Garmin GPS. Newer remote spotlight, rear camera, and dual raw water/fuel pressure warning sensor. Below decks, the boat has a newer high water alarm, a newer extra high capacity rule 4700 emergency dewatering pump, a new standard bilge pump, and a manual whale pump. Its large keel is ballasted with lead ingots providing great stability and stiffness in heavy seas. The majority of the wiring on this boat has been replaced in the past 12 years with heavier gauge marine wire. All of the wiring at the helm station was redone around 2011. Two new batteries and starter cables in 2020. Shore power connection with AC outlets in the head (currently disconnected), closet, and Galley. It's wired for a battery charger, but it's older inopperable charger has been removed. The hull is thick solid fiberglass below the waterline, believed to be barrier coated, and with no known blistering in the 13 years I have owned her. The upper hull and cabin house are balsa-cored fiberglass. All solid frame windows and hatches have been re-sealed and have no known leaks. The rubber sealed windows are still serviceable with no known current leaks, but do require resealing every year or so at the butt connections due to shrinkage. A sample of replacement rubber seal can be provided and is still widely available. A bollard on the bow is fastened to the foredeck with a large 1” thick marine plywood backing plate glued to the underside of the entire front deck. This allows for extra securing mooring in all conditions. The boat comes with ~270 feet of anchor line and a Bruce anchor with about 20’ of chain. The aft cockpit deck was repaired extensively in 2013 due to a previous deck hatch that leaked badly. A new deck was installed, glassed-in, and painted. During this repair, a custom-manufactured 15 gallon baffled plastic water tank was installed below the aft deck to feed a cockpit shower. The new aluminum Bomar hatch provides access to the rudder post and ensures a water-tight aft deck that can be self-bailing with two removable bronze suppers. New canvas cockpit cover in 2019. Two removable stainless steel dinghy davits are fastened to a reinforced back deck. A diamond plate aluminum swim platform, which does show some minor pitting, hangs off the stern and folds up, saving space at the dock. Retractable swim ladder. Selling because I have just purchased a larger trawler. This boat is running great and ready to cruise. Insurance survey from spring 2021 available.
