Accommodations

Double berth fwd, screened from saloon area. Saloon table to port converts to double berth. Single settee / berth to starboard. Heads compartment to port with marine wc, gas water heater and washbasin. Galley to starboard with sink, Eno 2 burner gas cooker with oven and new 2012 fridge running on 12v, 220v and gas. Up to wheelhouse. Door to aft deck and steps down to aft cabin with double berth and en-suite heads compartment.

Remarks

The thing that strikes you about this boat is that she looks genuinely original. Her interior woodwork is in great shape, (other than aft cabin 2021) her upholstery clean, smart and in character. She has not been hacked about by misguided amateurs! No, but she has been regularly updated, jolly well maintained and thoroughly enjoyed until these last years. She really can be nice inside and out after a thorough clean up. She has not moved for more than 5 years and damp has attacked the aft cabin where window seals need replaced. If someone is interested in a project on an as is, where is basis, the price could come down significantly.

On ne peut que remarquer que ce bateau maintient son charactère originel. Les boiseries sont généralement en bon état, ses selleries propres et dans l'esprit du bateau. A l'extérieur comme à l'intérieur on voit clairement que le bateau était bien entretenu dans le passé. Beaucoup de style et d'elégance pour une vedette construit par le patron de Lotus, Colin Chapman. Veka II n'a pas bougé depuis plus de 5 ans et l'humidité a dégradé la cabine arrière dont les hublots sont à réparer.
