Notably, the Gulfstar 36 was built on the same semi-displacement hull used in the production of the Gulfstar 36 motorsailer – a sailboat. The profiles are about the same, but the twin diesels of the trawler provide the maneuverability and performance required of a powerboat. Her soft-chined gull is constructed of solid fiberglass and the keel is ballasted, making her a ‘real’ trawler in the eyes of trawler purists.

With her easily driven hull, the Gulfstar 36 is economical to operate and offers a comfortable ride in most sea conditions.

Accommodations

Sleeps 4 owners and guests in 2 staterooms, plus 1 dinette berth for a total of 5 berths. There are 2 owner and guest staterooms including head with shower area with curtain. This vessel is clean and has been very well maintained.

I love this pocket trawler. it ticks the boxes for everything important to me: Shallow draft, refrigeration, air conditioning, full dinette, roomy flybridge with full enclosure, sleeping accommodations for at least four, vacuflush toilet, separate shower, diesel generator, anchor windlass and of course, economical twin diesels.

It needs new mattresses for the master cabin, but otherwise, it's in great shape and ready to go to the Bahamas tomorrow.

This could be the perfect couple's cruiser and the best part is that it can be bought for something near $30,000. It won't be around long though, so call the broker straight away.
