Engine Details & Mechanical

In the summer of 1994, this first ferry of its class started scheduled service. The slim, 101m monohull design is powered by an MTU combined diesel and gas turbine propulsion system. Apart from the diesel engines, MTU also supplied the General Electric gas turbines and all accessories.

Construction & Design

Steel hull with aluminum superstructure.
