Available for ordering and new boat construction for delivery next year. The Hallberg-Rassy 64 is the greatest boat ever built by Hallberg-Rassy. The enormous 8.6 cubic meter aft deck lockers may store a RIB dinghy. There is a large hydraulic fold out bathing platform. The deck is clean and uncluttered. An optional gangway can be totally retracted into the lazarette. The cockpit is unusually large; 3.10 m long, that’s 55 cm longer than on the Hallberg-Rassy 62. There is a large, fixed, teak cockpit table. All essential sailing control functions are handled from the cockpit by a single sailor using the push of buttons already as standard equipment. The washboards are elegantly and easily lowered into a hidden storage. The cockpit is very well protected by the Hallberg-Rassy typical soft top wind screen or hard top. Below deck living areas have lots of natural light. All in all there are no less than thirty-one (31) portlights and deck hatches in the boat. The engine room is large, has space for lots of technical equipment, is well sound insulated and allows for easy maintenance. The engine is unusually well sized, even for a Hallberg-Rassy. It is a 6 cylinder Volvo Penta D6-300 with 300 HP. Tanks are generous too for long range with 1 800 liters of diesel fuel and 1 300 liters of fresh water. Frers speed prediction diagram says the boat will achieve 9.2 knots boat speed at 10 knots of true wind and 75 degrees wind angle, and 11.5 knots of boat speed with just mainsail and traditional foresail in 25 knots of true wind at 110 degrees wind angle. This yacht is a true mile eater.

As the current flagship to our range, we are absolutely delighted to give you this brief introduction into the world of the Explorer 60/62 Pilot House. First introduced as the ’60 in 2008, this classic design has gone from strength to strength and holds a very special place in the hearts of everyone that has been involved in its amazing development. Originally designed as the Explorer 60, it was always part of the design brief that this hull would carry extra length in the cockpit allowing for more entertaining space and extra room in the lazarette for storage/crew quarters: to this end the Explorer 62 was born. Recent developments have taken this further with an extension of the flybridge to allow for full coverage of the extended cockpit and even more entertaining space on the flybridge and boat deck. Whilst some clients prefer to keep their bathing platform clear and store their tender on the flybridge with a suitable deck crane, we also offer the option of a fully hydraulic bathing platform tender launch system. In an industry where the boundaries of styling and aesthetics are pushed to the very limits, the exterior look of many modern designs has far outreached what was ever thought possible only a few years ago. What has remained a constant is the pure classic lines of the Explorer Motor Yachts range of displacement and semi-displacement trawler yachts. If you look across the breadth of our range you will see the classic and timeless appeal that has made our designs so popular with our customer base over the years. At the very top of our current range is the Explorer 60/62. You can visit any port or anchorage in the world with a 60 or 62 to see that, no matter the size of yacht it keeps company with, the Explorer floats proudly as its’ own statement of style and class. Whether at anchor, in port or underway, the timeless appeal and clean, tasteful design of the Explorer 60/62 is guaranteed to turn heads
